About Meredith
Meredith Mills Hilger was born and raised in the Wenatchee Valley. Coming from a long line of entrepreneurs, small business is in her DNA. She attended college at Gonzaga University, and received her degree in Journalism, with a Minor in Broadcasting Sciences in 2011. From there she went on to a career in corporate retail in the greater Seattle area with jobs at Tommy Bahama Corporate Headquarters and Microsoft Headquarters on the Retail Marketing Team. Meredith is furthering her education through a design course at the New York Institute of Art & Design, an RIDQC qualifying program.
In 2015, Meredith and her husband Andrew moved to Wenatchee, a homecoming for her. She began managing at her parent’s small business, as the call for business ownership was always a strong one for her. However, when a position at a local non-profit became available that worked with all small businesses in the Historic Downtown, Meredith knew that was the place for her. After five years there, during the Covid pandemic, Meredith began to think about what’s next. The call to start something of her own seemed to grow stronger with each passing year, and she found herself asking, “if not now, when?” Mills Style & Design was born.
The design industry is one that Meredith found a natural home in. She and her husband in the matter of six years fully renovated two homes and did the majority of the work themselves. She fell in love with the process and the rest is, as they say, history.
Meredith believes that we’re not born to do just one thing. She also believes that with each unique experience she’s had, across industry sectors, that she has garnered skills and abilities that set her up perfectly for where she is today.
Meredith, Andrew and their two sons, James and Jacob live comfortably in their forever home, which they renovated in 2018. They enjoy the recreation of the region, including hiking, biking and skiing nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range. They also love cooking and entertaining their family and friends at the most important place to them: home.
Meredith serves on the Board of Directors for the Wenatchee Downtown Association and remains involved in the local community.
Let’s work together to find a way to make your home functional, fluid and uniquely you.
